Terry Tucker

Terry Tucker is Director of Agricultural Outreach and Education and Associate Director of International Programs at Cornell University. He also founded and directs Cornell’s popular undergraduate International Agriculture and Rural Development (IARD) major. He teaches graduate courses in participatory research and extension and advises students in Cornell’s professional master’s degree program in IARD.

Since joining Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in 1995, Tucker has managed extension, rural development and institution strengthening initiatives in Africa, Asia and Latin America, working with a diverse set of public, private and civil society partner organizations. Previously, Tucker was a Professor of Agricultural Economics at SUNY-Alfred where he also served as Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences. He holds baccalaureate, master’s and PhD degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, Penn State and Cornell, respectively.
