Murari Suvedi

Prof. Murari Suvedi has extensive experience in agricultural extension and rural development. He has expertise in program evaluation and impact assessment. Prior to joining Michigan State University, he worked as lecturer of agricultural extension at the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He joined Michigan State University in 1990 as Extension Specialist, focusing on staff development, program planning and evaluation. His current responsibilities include teaching courses on program development and evaluation, conducting evaluative research, and engaging in international agricultural development programs and activities. He serves as the coordinating liaison for the Michigan State University and Tokyo University of Agriculture partnership program. His current research focuses on impact evaluation of USAID’s Feed the Future-Cambodia. He facilitated the development of agricultural extension policy for Cambodia. He provides leadership in building evaluation capacity in food, agriculture, environment and natural resource management, and has offered institutional assessment and program evaluation training/workshops for food and agriculture development professionals in Cambodia, India, Mexico, and Nepal. He served as Fulbright Senior Specialist to Nepal (2002) and Cambodia (2005) and as Fulbright Senior Scholar to Nepal (2006/07).
