Kathy Colverson

Kathleen Earl Colverson is Associate Director of International Agricultural Programs at the University of Florida. She completed her Ph.D. from Cornell University with a degree in Adult and Agricultural Education, and a specialization in Gender and Development. After teaching Animal Science for many years, she branched into working with Heifer International, and served as the Regional Director for North America. 

Recently returned from serving as Senior Gender Scientist for the International Livestock Research Institute in Kenya, she comes to UF with over 30 years experience in teaching, training and working in both formal and informal education. Her primary research interests revolve around gender, agricultural value chains (especially livestock), participatory training methodologies and international development.
